Graland Country Day School is a private school in the Cherry Creek area of Denver Colorado. They take learning to a whole new level. With access to hands on applications and technology, these students lead the way for kids their age. To keep up with ever evolving technology, they have to keep the facilities up to par. One way they are doing this is with the construction of The Learning Space. The ground breaking of The Learning Space was a fun event that I got to capture.

Construction of new and innovative centers for science and learning, a new library, plus additional renovations throughout the campus keep The Learning Space in the top tier of schools in Colorado.
“New technologies and new discoveries about how children learn are just two examples of why we have to teach in new-fashioned ways. Our approach is forward thinking: What skills will this year’s preschool class need to be successful when they start careers? It’s as much about teaching how to reason, how to question and how to take initiative as it is about knowledge.”
Some quick speeches to thank sponsors and those who are in charge of this project were made. We also did some fun portraits with equipment supplied by Haselden Construction. Attendees were able to go home with a copy of their photograph, printed on site.
After they visited the construction site, they moved to the reception where a few speeches were made, touting the promising future of The Learning Space. Graland staff also honored a few staff members and a few sponsors that put the great event together.
